Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 19, 2026At PostInBox.org ("we", "our", or "us"), we operate with a fundamental belief: Privacy is a human right. Unlike other services that profit from selling user data, our business model relies on privacy-respecting advertising.
This Privacy Policy outlines exactly what information is collected when you use our Temporary Email Service.
1. The "Zero Data" Promise (Internal)
Regarding our internal servers and the PostInBox email system, we maintain a strictly No-Logs Policy. We do not personally store:
- No IP Addresses linked to your identity.
- No Email Content Archives (Auto-Deleted).
- No Personal Identification Information (PII) for free users.
2. Information Collection & Use
A. Free Users (Visitors)
You are not required to create an account. When you generate a temporary email, the session exists in your browser's local memory. Once the session expires, the email address and messages are permanently deleted.
B. Premium Users
If you purchase a Premium Package, we collect minimal contact information strictly for technical support. Payment data is processed securely by third-party gateways; we never touch your credit card details.
3. Email Retention
PostInBox.org is a Receive-Only service. Sending emails is impossible.
- Incoming Emails: Emails are stored in temporary volatile memory.
- Auto-Deletion: Messages are automatically wiped from our servers after the session ends. We do not maintain backups.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
We use two types of cookies:
- Essential Cookies: Stored by us strictly to maintain your active email session across tabs.
- Advertising Cookies: Stored by Google and partners to display relevant advertisements (as detailed in Section 4).
6. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent and aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
7. GDPR & CCPA Compliance
We respect your rights under GDPR and CCPA. While we do not hold personal data for free users, we acknowledge that third-party advertisers (like Google) may process data such as IP addresses for ad serving. You have the right to disable these cookies via your browser settings.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
